This Edwardian oak dresser is a classic example of practical country furniture from the early 20th century, combining generous storage with a traditional open plate rack above. The base section comprises two full-width drawers set above a useful lower shelf, all supported on simple turned legs and united by a sturdy stretcher frame.

Above, the dresser features a tall open rack with three shelves and a decorative shaped canopy, designed for displaying crockery, kitchenware or everyday household pieces. The vertical boarded back adds both structure and visual warmth, giving the dresser its traditional farmhouse character.

The piece will be carefully stripped and sympathetically restored, revealing the natural warmth and grain of the oak and presenting in a lighter, refined country-house finish. The drawers will be fitted with classic brass handles mounted on decorative backplates, complementing the age and understated elegance of the piece. The piece is made from a solid oak frame, drawer fronts and plate rack, whilst the top and sides are oak veneer. Due to the age of the piece there are a few chips to the veneer on the top but this does not affect the pieces use in any way.

A timeless and versatile dresser, ideal for a kitchen, dining room or pantry setting, offering both display and practical storage.
