A particularly characterful early 20th-century oak gun cabinet, bearing an inscription to the underside reading “Made by T. W. Booth, Buxton, June 1928.”

Beautifully proportioned and full of period charm, the cabinet features a tall glazed double-door upper section with its original internal gun rack, together with two generous drawers below. The oak has a rich, warm tone and attractive natural patina, complemented by the moulded cornice, decorative plinth and traditional brass fittings.

The piece has been carefully cleaned and sympathetically refreshed, preserving the marks, wear and variation that reflect its age and history rather than removing them through heavy restoration.

A striking and unusual example of English country furniture, it would work equally well as a display cabinet for sporting memorabilia, walking sticks, collectables, books or other treasured pieces.

As with all of our antique and vintage furniture, signs of age, wear and previous use are to be expected and form part of the individual character of the piece.

Please note: This item is sold as an antique furniture/display piece. Suitability for the secure storage of firearms should be independently checked against current legal and security requirements.
