A charming early 20th-century oak dresser, likely dating from circa 1920–1940, with wonderfully compact proportions and plenty of traditional country character.
The upper section features an open plate rack with two shelves and a decorative scalloped valance, providing useful display space for ceramics, glassware or decorative pieces. Below sits a single drawer over a pair of cupboard doors, each with attractive carved geometric detailing, together with traditional brass fittings and turned front legs.
The oak has developed a rich, warm tone with attractive grain and natural variation throughout. Its petite proportions make it especially versatile, offering the character and presence of a traditional dresser without requiring the space of a larger example.
Carefully cleaned and sympathetically refreshed, the piece retains the age-related marks, wear and gentle imperfections that form part of its history and individual character.
A particularly lovely piece for a country kitchen, dining room, hallway or smaller living space.
As with all of our antique and vintage furniture, signs of age, wear and previous use are to be expected and form part of the individual character of the piece.
