A beautiful antique oak three-drawer chest, raised on its original castors and with a light natural tone that highlights the striking tiger oak grain across the drawer fronts and top. The chest is constructed with a solid oak frame, top and drawer fronts, while only the sides are finished in oak veneer, a traditional method used to maintain stability across larger panels. It has been carefully stripped, revealing the natural character of the timber, and fitted with new brass droplet handles that complement its age and understated style. All drawers run smoothly, making it a practical and ready-to-use piece suited to bedrooms, guest rooms or hallway settings.
There are signs of historic woodworm in the drawer bottoms, which have been fully treated as a precaution, and do not impact the integrity or usability of the piece.
